How to Install a .pkg File on macOS
- Download the .pkg file and save it to your Mac.
- Open Finder and go to your Downloads folder.
- Double-click the .pkg file to start the installer.
- If you get a security warning:
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
- Scroll down and click “Open Anyway”
- Follow the steps on screen:
- Continue
- Agree
- Install (enter your Mac password if asked)
- Wait for “Installation was successful.”
- Click Close.
- (Optional) Delete the .pkg installer file if you don’t need it anymore.
